Earlier this month, I had to have the maple trees trimmed back for fire safety and now I have an enormous pile of sticks to use for Large Slash (you can see it in the back corner a bit) which helps keep the soil areated and provides underground homes for all the helpful garden bugs and microrhyzae. The bottom is then filled with a layer of the terrible house flipper landscaping rock for drainage. As you can see, the painted galvanized aluminum beds are put directly on the lawn I don’t want to mow anymore, with the 4’ spacer to make sure I have enough room to manuver the garden cart between them. Updates from The Garden of Berry-dise (like the garden of paradise but there are about to be SO MANY BERRIES)Ģ/4 new beds installed, 2/4 existing beds ready for planting.
